Privacy statement DLL Legal
DLL Legal is responsible for the processing of various personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The starting point is respect for the privacy of those involved. This privacy statement describes which personal data are processed and how DLL Legal handles them. This privacy statement can be changed or supplemented. The most current version is on our website.
Personal data
DLL Legal processes personal data provided by you as a (potential) client, relationship, supplier, counterparty or applicant. In addition, Brenner processes personal data that you may not have provided yourself, such as data from public registers or information obtained from counterparties, intermediaries or third parties engaged by us, such as interpreters or bailiffs.
This concerns the following personal data:
a. contact details and other personal data necessary to handle your case;
b. contact details provided during acquisition conversations and introductions;
c. personal data made available through public sources or obtained from the Trade Register of the Chamber of Commerce and from the Land Registry;
Contact details include in any case: first and last name, address details, telephone number, email address, BSN number and nationality.
Purpose of the processing
DLL Legal processes personal data in order to implement the agreement in which you have instructed us to provide our legal services. Depending on the content of your order, personal data and possibly the personal data of others are processed to process your order.
In addition, your data will be used for conducting legal proceedings, collecting invoices, for advice, mediation and referral and to comply with legal and statutory obligations.
No personal data is shared with third parties for commercial purposes. DLL Legal does not use the personal data received for purposes other than those for which it was obtained.
Basis for processing
DLL Legal only processes personal data if and to the extent that at least one of the conditions below is met:
the data subject has given consent;
the processing is necessary for the conclusion and/or execution of an agreement;
there is a legitimate interest, a legal obligation or other applicable regulations.
Retention periods
DLL Legal does not store personal data for longer than is necessary for the aforementioned purposes. You can also ask us to delete your data, which request we will comply with, unless applicable laws and regulations prevent this.
Rights of data subjects
Everyone has the right to view, correct or have their personal data deleted. In addition, data subjects have the right to withdraw any consent to data processing or to object to the processing of his/her personal data by DLL Legal. Everyone also has the right to transfer personal data that DLL Legal has about him or her.
You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data or request for withdrawal of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to info@dll-legal.com. For the sake of completeness, it should be noted that the right to have personal data deleted or transferred does not apply if this conflicts with, for example, the obligation of confidentiality or legal retention periods.
If you believe that DLL Legal is not handling your personal data correctly, we request that you contact us about this. You also have the option to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
Security of personal data
DLL Legal takes the protection of personal data seriously and takes appropriate organizational and technical measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. The group of persons who have access to the data is kept as limited as possible.
Processors
A processor within the meaning of the GDPR acts on behalf of the controller when processing personal data, without being under his direct authority. DLL Legal may use processors such as ICT service providers to process your personal data. DLL Legal has concluded processing agreements with existing service providers that meet the legal requirements.

In order to ensure that we provide the relevant personal data to the right person based on your request, we ask you to submit a copy of a valid passport, driver's license or identity document with a shielded passport photo and BSN number for verification. DLL Legal only processes requests that relate to your own personal data.
Use social media
DLL Legal website (www.dll-legal.com) contains buttons (also called buttons) and/or links to promote or share web pages on social (media) networks or third-party websites, such as Twitter, LinkedIn or Facebook. DLL Legal does not monitor and is not responsible for the processing of your personal data by and through such third parties. The use of those media is therefore at your own risk. DLL Legal offers a blog or forum that is freely accessible on the website and via an E-zine. All information posted here can be read, collected and used by anyone, including any third party. A request to remove personal data from a blog or forum can be submitted via the contact details under 'Privacy rights of data subjects'. In some cases, DLL Legal is unable to remove personal data from a blog or forum. In a response to your aforementioned request, DLL Legal will indicate that it was not successful and for what reason. In the event that you, as a data subject, post personal data via a third-party application (via social media), that third party or the administrator of the application is the point of contact for such requests for deletion or other types of privacy questions.
Adjustment of privacy statement
DLL Legal has the right to change the content of this privacy statement at any time without prior notice. Adjustments to the privacy statement will be published on the law firm's website. Therefore, please consult our website regularly.
